It is the start of a brand new day. she is free from him and his control. As she faces the reality of what that means, she feels fear within her heart. To move forward towards another man similar to him, she realizes that what is in her heart is not what was there six months ago. She is tired, restless beaten, but relieved. For their relationship was draining emotionally and physically. She still loves him as much as ever, yet even that love has diminished greatly from where it was before. She feels the need to be alone. To be free of the ties of any man. She wants to take time to re-discover herself and for now, her journey will continue alone. She feels that is best for her, and for all concerned. She will embrace new friendships of course, for celibacy is not in the cards for her. However, she will not give her heart away as easily or as completely as she did to him. For he did not take care of her heart as promised, and he allowed for it to be broken in two. He did not care for her self esteem, and he allowed it to be broken and battered as he continued on his journey for whatever it is he has been searching for. The journal she kept in the place where they shared happier times has been closed. She no longer feels welcome there. She will miss the friends she made there, and she will miss sharing her poetry with them. However, the true friends will understand her need for space, and the ones who don't well, to hell with them. For the envious ones, who chose to mock her words, her feelings, and rejoiced in her suffering, she knows they will one day understand her pain, and they will regret ever mocking her for her happiness and applauding her downfall.

Her poetry will flow here. Her honesty will abound and her truth will be shared with the one who needs to hear it. Herself.
